Our Team

Dr. Amanda Frye is passionate about providing personalized, compassionate eye care and building lasting relationships with her patients and their families. She graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in 2012 with her Doctor of Optometry degree and began her career practicing in North Carolina, where she spent five years caring for patients alongside her husband, Dr. Brett Moore.

In 2017, Amanda returned to her hometown to put down roots and continue serving the area she calls home. In 2024, she purchased Stirling Eye Care, where she has had the opportunity to practice with her sister, Dr. Jessica Frye, who is also an optometrist. Working together as sisters and colleagues has made caring for patients and families in the area extra special.

Now, Amanda is excited to begin the next chapter with the addition of Mars Eyecare in early 2027. As a local optometrist and mother, she looks forward to bringing quality eye care to Mars and serving the same school district where her daughters, Taylor and Harper, attend school. Being able to care for families in the area where her own children are growing up makes this new venture especially meaningful to her.

Amanda believes that exceptional eye care goes beyond prescriptions and exams. It means taking the time to listen, understanding each patient's individual needs, and helping every person feel comfortable and confident in their care. She looks forward to welcoming new and returning patients to Mars Eyecare and building lasting relationships with families throughout the area.

Dr. Brett Moore grew up in Lexington, North Carolina. He studied Biology at Appalachian State University before earning his Doctorate in Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in 2012. It was there that he met his wife, Dr. Amanda Frye.

After graduation, Dr. Moore began practicing alongside his wife at his parents’ optometry practice in North Carolina, where they worked together for five years before moving to Pennsylvania. Since 2017, Dr. Moore has been providing comprehensive eye care to patients in the area. He is passionate about helping patients maintain healthy vision and believes in building lasting relationships with patients and their families.

Outside of the office, Dr. Moore enjoys spending time with his wife and their two daughters. He also loves watching football, playing golf, and spending time with friends.

Dr. Moore is excited to welcome new patients and their families to Mars Eyecare and looks forward to providing personalized, high-quality eye care to the Mars community for years to come.

Dr. Jessica Frye graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a Bachelors in Biology in 2009 and earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in 2013, graduating with honors in Pediatric Eyecare. 

Dr. Frye has served the greater Pittsburgh area since graduation and joined Stirling Eyecare in 2025, where many of her patients know her as Dr. Jess. She practices full-scope optometry and is passionate about providing comprehensive, personalized eye care for the entire family at every stage of life. Whether she’s helping a child pick out their first pair of glasses, guiding a patient through cataract surgery, or providing treatment for dry eye disease, Dr. Frye is excited to be part of each patient’s eye care journey and to help them see and feel their best.

Dr. Frye resides in Mccandless with her husband Jason and two sons Henry and Charley.  Most of her time outside the office is dedicated to her family, staying active outdoors through biking and running, and taking on any creative projects.
